Often the biggest enemy a man has to face is his own past. If we wish to be creative, we must never be afraid to abandon our past, not matter how difficult that may be. Picasso changed his styles three or four times. Hence his greatness.超哥noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574201808962084665.post-4780708471169430982011-09-16T06:35:10.000+08:002011-09-16T06:35:10.000+08:00Again my appreciation is for your vivid descriptio...Again my appreciation is for your vivid descriptions rather than the scuptures themselves, which I find lacking in details. The missing nose on the human face reminds me of what happened to some of the miserable women of the Middle East, hence a bit disturbing.
09/16/2011 07:15:21]Thank you for your compliments. Isn’t that a common destiny of all men?
Maybe I read too much into the image.
[版主回覆09/16/2011 11:09:20]That's the feeling I got when I first saw it. Just compare the angle of the back of the coffin-like log, the ox, the man. They are all going the same way. Life is a common journey on a mud path. We're all going in the same direction. That's why we must pull our strength together to push that load: the load of Life itself. It is heavy. It requires all the force that we have, if we wish to go forward. We never know where it will end. In the meantime, all we know is that if we cease to exert ourselves, it may run downhill and we'll be where we were.
09/16/2011 16:54:16]Thank you for your undeserved praise.
Are we not the wooden dolls of Fate though we would try desperately to think that we are somehow still in control?Elainenoreply@blogger.com
