Temptations in Yellows and Oranges (黃橙之色誘)

After the purple, it's the turn of the yellows and oranges.

I still recall vividly how the moment I stepped inside the pay-toll barriers of the the flower show, my attention was immediately grabbed by the orchids to the left of the entrance where a huge crowd had already gathered, many of them crouching down and others contorting their bodies into quasi-impossible postures just to capture what they thought the rare beauty of the orchids.

These have been there a bit too long and some petals are beginning to turn brown at the edges: how short their beauty lasts

Never saw these before

So I took a closer look

and even closer

This combination of color and shape is also rarely seen

These are a bit more common

Then a giant lily

And would you believe it, they are the flowers of a kind of cactus !

So is this

Another kind of cactus flower, about to open?

Ah the bird of paradise

Don't know what this is So strong, and so full of life and color

A kind of humble and subdued daffodils?

By contrast, these are so fresh, so delicate

I really like these yellows: so delicate and yet so teeming with life !

Its delicate heart

I love these soft orange flowers, growing in great profusion

They look so full of life under the sun

in full bloom

dancing?

Can they be a kind of pansy? In orange ???

What lovely yellow bells !

Then it's the turn of the chrysanthesum

Again so strong and sturdy in its simplicity and lack of fuss

They can be slightly delicate too

What abundance, what vigor, what life !

And finally, one of my favourites, a rose

A rose anywhere is a rose, a rose, a rose.....
