It's fun ambling from the bottom of the garden to those above. There's a tremendous variety of flowers, ferns, shrubs, trees.... The air is so fresh. The colors of some of the plants are so vibrant you can almost hear the sap of life sloshing up the capillaries to supply the incredibly complex network of veins and stalks above them just what they need to bloom or thrive.
even when they're past their prime: just as long as they live, they'll never suffer from any lack. The work of Nature, imperceptibly slow, incredibly patient and yet ever uneceasing. Is that not how all good things are produced?
It's the season of wisterias.
They bloom along the way in amazing profusion.
Whatever the true reason, I love their soft colors
And not just the wisterias!
These little blue flowers too
And these lovely petals of purple opening up to the sun
And these little purple flowers dangling from a branch
What do they care if they got a little dirty. There's always the life-giving sun.
The little orchids too, vie with each other to display their unique colors and form
striped purple red at the centre, surrounded by a gentle yellowish hue, then white and purple at the rim
There were tiny tiny hair around the corollas, barely visible to the eye
And what wonders lie deep inside: the secret of life itself!
A close up of its secrets
Some more common flowers I found on my way up
It's got its own little secrets too!
The way up. Even tiny toddlers are prepared to join the celebration.
The city flower in bloom
I love the leaves. Not so long ago, they were still red and yellow.
The ferns are spreading out their fan too.
The seniors are not prepared to call it a day yet.
All lined up for life
The explosion of life in threes
or twos.
The fire crackers of Spring!
