Before going uphill, I passed by a small stream.
there were some interesting reflections
Water is an excellent reflecting surface
Water doesn't seem to have any character of its own. It takes on the colors of its environment. Shall we learn from water?
Some reflections of the rushes growing by the side of a pond.
A water weed
This little flower started growth from under the surface of the water. It is now trying hard to lift itself out from where it came from.
The pond was full of fallen leaves weaving a net on the surface. I imagine that Shakespeare's Ophelia must love them.
orchids struggling for space
These are the lucky ones
I like the two voids between its petals at the top:the eyes of a cat?
and what shapes and colors !
The most delicate parts are always its stamen, well protected and high-lighted by two wings
They always manage somehow to stand out
I love the colors and shapes of the orchids: so capricious !
A painting done by the orchid itself ?
Others are much bolder
A lady with a wide bottomed dress trailing beneath its waist
"paper flowers" are now in bloom everywhere
They look so playful under the sun
Look at these leaves, spreading themselves out like so many colorful fans all in different shades of the same color
Just like a bouquet.
Another clump of white dotted with red.
Long tongues sticking out for company
A little bird or a tiny rocket spewing fire?
petals of gold in the sun
So happy under the sun
glittering gold
Nearby is this beautiful rose like flower
Another one, much less elaborate
"honey flower" ! Tried them before?
Another one, about to open up
Morning glory in purple
Another much smaller purple flower
And the common dragon boat flower
The hardy lantanas
And the humble begonia
more purple flowers growing on the fence
This one is really elaborate
Common pine leaves
Flowers of farewell
