Art HK 2011 Retrospective 5

There were so many exhibits that one really doesn't have time except to give them the most cursory glances.



This is Jaume Plensa's "Irma's White Head", 2008 made of enamelled metal, formed entirely by linking alphabets, staring at its onlooker.

I like this thin peculiarly modern combination of the rabbit and the donkey in contemplation atop a monitor above PC with the keyboard leaning at its side by Barry Flannigan 1996. What is he thinking of?

And this really beautiful and round apple with its glistening skin.

And the shape of these bronze mountains.

And this happy little boy in bronze rushing to her girlfriend (?) with a tulip in hand, with a converted village urn for head and a converted ladle as the bird which would fly him to his love!.

And this Chu Ming style wooden sculpture with minimal strategic straight cuts to convey its movement..

I love these cats, so plump and playful!

And a "face"(?) facing the cello.

The man looks so happy in this collage.

I love this painting too. So full of joy!
