A Time for Vegs

It's been a while since the HK Flower Show. If I remember correctly, it took place in the middle of March. There were so many things to see. I did not want to overwhelm my senses. So I  went there three times. That way, I could give the plants there the time they deserve.

Don't think that vegetables are always ugly.  If we bother to look carefully, we may discover that they have a richness of colors and textures that we would not normally notice.

I like the sheer power of the cut stem rising majestically from the wave of yellows below

and the subdued light bouncing off its jade like yellow skin.

Look how full of life the red sheen is ...

and how tough is the skin of this turnip and how forceful the push of its shoots. !

And what a flood of colors.!

Nearby we had the rich folds along the edges of these lettuces twisting and twirling like the giant petals of some exotic flower.

.

And beads of rain upon one of the leaves of another type of lettuce.

And the blend of light green amongst the delicately corrugated folds of its leaves.

    我也在花展見過這些疏果、顏色確實十分穌艷、但在你的鏡頭下就顯得更加絹艷麗。謝謝分享。
